About the Journal

In recent decades, comparative law has been established on the agenda of those who teach, practice and work with Civil Procedural or Procedural Law in general. Today, with the rapid development of technology, a globalized economy and the growing dependence on international law and cooperation mechanisms, the study of legal systems worldwide has gained relevance because it helps us to better understand our own systems and, at the same time, time, provides solutions to legal issues that, day after day, become more common and global.

The Civil Review Procedure seeks to promote the study and discussion of Civil Procedure issues from a comparative perspective, creating a broad database in the field of Procedural Law. And in doing so, we aim to become a center where ideas merge and where they can be diffused and disseminated.

The Civil Procedure Review publishes articles, books, book reviews, monographs and other types of academic material on procedural law, produced by professors, researchers and students from universities and institutes around the world.

The choice of electronic means of publication, so important in the modern world, seeks to expand the dissemination of ideas and make access to the content of the Journal broader and more democratic in the academic community. By taking full advantage of the benefits of online publishing, we want to offer a fast, inexpensive and affordable way to publish serious academic texts. This is especially relevant for countries where libraries struggle to continue with existing subscriptions to written journals. Online publication, therefore, allows us to reach audiences that would otherwise not have access to this material. The Civil Review Procedure also provides a forum for discussion and comments on articles, which represent an interactive space to facilitate academic debates. The Discussion Forum encourages the exchange of ideas on issues suggested by the Editorial Board. Using Article Comments, the Review provides a public platform for each published article and readers can comment and participate in an academic debate with the author and other readers, regardless of where they are in the world. This gives authors the opportunity to receive feedback. Contributions from around the world are welcome! Be part of this project! We also appreciate the feedback.
