Repensando o Valor da Causa: bases para uma nova sistematização

Abstract

In the present essay, the author analyses the classic and modern doctrine about the amount in controversy and how to assess it. Defending the existence of controversies that are impossible to price, the author holds that the classification of types of controversies needs to be improved and, by consequence, the means that are used to price them needs to be improved as well, especially before the new rights and the judicial precedents.
