Abstract

This essay aims to analyze the Brazilian federalism from the perspective of the division of courts jurisdiction, in order to identify that a cooperative federalism must ensure the horizontal and vertical division of labour between courts, as well as transversal and cooperative interactions between judges of different federative spheres, always in a symmetrical way and with respect to the principle of subsidiarity.
